Welcome to The Art School Of Peterborough

Founded in 1993 by Richard Hayman, The Art School of Peterborough provides excellent art instruction to the people of Peterborough and the surrounding communities. The Art School of Peterborough is dedicated to providing a professional level of instruction in a wide variety of studio media to both adults and children. No prior art training is necessary and there are no entrance requirements or examinations.

We offer year-round classes for adults and youths/teens. The Art School of Peterborough is a not-for-profit organization with charitable status.

New Children's Arts Tax Credit

The Government of Canada has recognized that "participation in artistic, cultural, recreational and developmental activities can positively contribute to a child's development". To help offset the costs associated with these activities, the Canada Revenue Agency has implemented a Children's Art Tax Credit (CATC).
