David Baker
Studio Potter

David Baker began working with clay in Toronto in 1970, apprenticing for five years with the talented potter Eva East. David has done extensive teaching of pottery in Toronto, Peterborough, Lindsay and Cobourg. Maintaining his own studio during that time David's work concentrated mostly on functional pieces such as plates, casseroles, teapots and mugs. Over time he became more interested in colour as well as form.

"I am always amazed at the beauty of this medium and the incredible diversity of expression that is possible".
