After School Art Club

Ages: 8 - 12
Course Times: Thursdays 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Course Description: Young artists will explore their creativity in a fun and stimulating environment. Working in drawing, watercolour, acrylic, printmaking and sculpture; spatial skills, observation, co-ordination, the elements and principles of design will be introduced while encouraging self-expression and experimentation. Just bring your creativity!

Cartooning for Youths and Teens

Ages: 7 - 14
Course Times: Saturday 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Course Fee: $165

Course Description: If you are into making comics then this class is for you. We will work on drawing skills, character development and narrative (story telling). We will also make comics, of course!

Creative Tots

Ages: 2 - 5
Course Times: Wednesday 9:30 - 10:30, Thursday 9:30 - 10:30

Course Description: An Art class designed for the youngest artists in our community. Young creative souls explore materials and artwork with the purist intentions that follow no rules. Our tots play beside parents, grandparents or caregivers and discover art together. Best of all we clean up the mess!

Drawing and Painting for Youth

Ages: 7 - 12
Course Times: Saturday 9:30 - 11:30 am

Course Description: This course is for those young artists who are looking for instruction beyond that of the typical classroom. They will develop their basic skills and learn many new techniques; all taught in a fun and motivating environment. Just add your creativity!

Mixed Media for children

Ages: 6 - 10
Course Times: Saturday 9:30 - 11:30 am

Course Description: Children will explore their imagination with creative, fun-filled projects. They will experience a wide range of mediums that will introduce basic techniques and skills to make great art. The creative possibilities are endless.

Teen Portfolio Development

Ages: 13 -17
Course Times: Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00
Course Fee: $200

Course Description: This course was developed with the intent of exposing the teen artist to an artistic future. Portfolios are a necessity when applying to specialized art programs in high school, college and university. A variety of course projects, skill development and exposure to a wide range of materials will make the portfolio process come with ease. This course is also appropriate for teens who just want to make great art, portfolio or not.

Youth Pottery

Ages: 6 - 12
Course Times: Saturday 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Course Fee: $245 + price of clay
Teacher: Jennifer Zmozynski

Course Description: Classes are offered for both younger students and teens. This creative course focuses on the experimentation and expression of individuality through pottery. Students will be able to feel the magic of throwing their own pots as well as learning hand building techniques and sculpture. All materials used are non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Just bring your creativity!
